Mental Health Advocacy Club

About

The mission of TUCOM Mental Health Club is to:

BUILD AWARENESS:
- Spread awareness of mental health around Touro campus and build a network of support.
- Fight stigma of mental health issues in the medical community.
- Spread awareness of mental health/illness of medical students, residents, and physicians.
- Foster self-care to better prepare our students for their life-long profession.

FOSTER INTEREST AND DISCUSSION:
- Serve as a forum for all students interested in mental health to share ideas
- Career development/professional opportunities in psychiatry
- Partner with other groups on campus to discuss mental health in a variety of contexts: family medicine, EM, public health, OMM, integrative medicine

SERVE:
- Serve the local Vallejo community regarding mental health issues
